Canadian Manufacturers & Exporters

Overview

Since 1871, Canadian Manufacturers & Exporters (CME) has been fighting for the future of Canada’s manufacturing and exporting communities and helping them grow. The association directly represents more than 2,500 leading companies nationwide. More than 85 per cent of CME’s members are small and medium-sized enterprises. CME’s manufacturing membership network accounts an estimated 82 per cent of total manufacturing production while its exporting membership accounts for 90 per cent of Canada’s exports.

Canadian Hydrogen and Fuel Cell Association (CHFCA)

Overview

The Canadian Hydrogen and Fuel Cell Association (CHFCA) is a collaborative effort of industry, academia, government agencies, financial organizations and other stakeholders focused on advancing the use of advanced hydrogen and fuel cell technologies and products to help tackle our world’s most critical energy and climate challenges. Our mission is to champion the Canadian hydrogen and fuel cell sector and accelerate the adoption of our members’ products and services, in Canada and abroad.

North American Helium Inc.

Overview

North American Helium Inc. (NAH) was founded in 2013 and has drilled over 20 wells to discover substantial reserves of helium in the province of Saskatchewan, Canada. Helium exploration is the foundation of our strategy and we use specialized expertise across multiple disciplines to discover and develop these helium reserves. We have a highly experienced leadership team but also have more than 100 people working for us at any one time. NAH brought on its first helium production in 2020 and will bring on significantly more production in 2021.

New Brunswick

Overview

The Government of New Brunswick chapter is respectfully submitted from the Department of Natural Resources and Energy Development (DNRED) – Energy Branch as the policy group responsible for regulating the Energy sector in New Brunswick through legislation, regulation and other policy instruments. The chapter also includes input from Opportunities New Brunswick (ONB), the crown agency with the mandate to foster economic development and job creation in the Province.

New Brunswick (NB) Power

Overview

NB Power is responsible for the generation, transmission, and distribution of electricity that powers the lives and livelihoods of more than 400,000 customers across New Brunswick. Our employees, more than 2,600 strong, deliver safe, reliable energy to our customers by way of 21,358 km of distribution lines, substations, terminals and switchyards that are interconnected by 6,905 km of transmission lines.
